Our Mission

Penumbra Business Finance was founded by Brad Garside and Sam German.
We are a leading UK-wide Business Finance Brokerage that offers a diverse range of financial services products to suit your business requirements. With access to an extensive network of over 100 funding partners, it allows us to seek and carefully match tailored finance facilities for
UK-based businesses.
Our Mission is simple - To consistently offer business owners speed, service and flexibility when sourcing the finance requirements to help aid their business objectives. Service and Relationships are paramount to our offering. We want to be your financial partner as opposed to just another financial transaction, allowing us to get a real understanding of your business and its goals moving forward. Directors

  • Sam was previously at the pinnacle of the sales team at another UK's largest asset finance brokers advancing c£20m a year.

    In this time Sam has cultivated robust connections in the waste & recycling/concrete sector, earning trust from both customers and suppliers.

    While Sam finds it challenging to switch off, his attempts usually involve enjoying a few beers with friends or passionately supporting his beloved Stockport County.

  • Brad started his career as part of the RBS Accelerate Scheme Cohort. After progressing through the banking sector, he transitioned to one of the UK's largest asset finance brokers, as Head of Asset Finance, where he looked after a small team broking a volume of c£85m+ across 1000+ deals per annum and achieved the Asset & Leasing Finance Broker of the Year 2022.

    Driven by the desire to own his business, Brad took the leap in January 2023, founding Penumbra Business Finance.

    Beyond work, Brad is a dedicated Leeds United season ticket holder. He cherishes moments with his two children, enjoying family time, holidays, and socialising with friends.
